Payment
You can make a donation or pay for sessions with Venmo or PayPal.
My sliding scale generally runs from $40 - $100 per session.
As of September 2026, my $40 and $50 spots are full, and my sliding scale is $60 - $100.
Please pay as much as you can so I can continue to offer low-cost tutoring to people in need. I work 7 hours a week tutoring teen survivors of complex trauma in a juvenile detention center. My incarcerated students benefit greatly from this intervention, but the work pays just $31 per hour, so I rely on the generosity of my private clients to make it sustainable.
If your family is able to comfortably eat out and go on vacations, please pay between $80 - $100. If meeting basic needs like food and healthcare is difficult, please pay on the lower end (currently $60-$80).
If you’d like to pay over $100, thank you, and know that your generosity will enable me to open up more $30, $40, and $50 spots for families in need! It’s rare to find an EBLI-certified tutor with two master’s degrees at those rates, and I want to make sure that my services remain accessible to all.
In fall of 2026, I will have a more official process for applying for partial scholarships. In the meantime, if you’re unsure how much to pay, check out the link below, or contact me, and we’ll come up with a rate that works for us both.
If you’re not sure where you are on the sliding scale, check out the Green Bottle Sliding Scale by Alexis J. Cunningfolk for guidance - or contact me and we’ll talk it out.
