You can make a donation or pay for sessions using Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, or Stripe.
Thank you for paying on time for sessions! And thank you for paying as much as you are able. I need an average of $70 per session to cover my basic expenses, but my flexible sliding scale allows you to pay significantly less or more, depending on your family’s unique circumstances. Families who pay higher on the sliding scale enable me to offer more scholarships and low-cost sessions to families who need them.
Why do your sessions cost as much as they do?
Keep in mind that one hour of student-facing time reflects about 2 hours of work on my end. I bring a lot to this work - 8+ years of experience teaching, 8+ years of experience as a developmental therapist and parent coach (including 2 years working in a sensory integration clinic), and 16+ years of experience as a parent. I have expertise in special ed, accessibility, bilingual / ESL ed, and trauma-informed mental health support, plus extensive training in instructional design, anti-oppression work, and transformative justice practices. And I continue to take trainings, read up on the latest research in the field, and purchase relevant books and supplies to benefit my students.
I charge $40 - $100 per session. I do have some limited availability to work with families for under $40, and if you want to pay more, I won’t argue with that! Any extra funds that I receive, I put back into my work with underserved communities, including trauma-informed tutoring with incarcerated youth in a juvenile detention center.

Please note that one hour of tutoring typically reflects more than one hour of work. I will spend time outside that hour with your child researching, prepping, and making progress notes. I'll also be holding your child in my mind and getting sudden bursts of inspiration on evenings and weekends for how I can best support them! If you like, you can also join tutoring sessions so that I can coach you in skills and practices that you can implement while working with your child.

I offer some scholarships, prioritizing families who are multiply marginalized (BIPOC, English language learners, disabled, chronically ill, 2SLGBTQIA+, and/or survivors of the carceral system.
